How much does a student residence card cost?
On a student budget, start with a 290 zł review: we calculate the amount for your bank statement and tell you which certificates to order and when. If you have already filed and heard nothing, we step in at any stage. Full handling costs 1990 zł.

The state fee is paid separately, directly to the office — we name the amount for your case. You pay in two parts: the second is taken at fingerprinting. Amounts from 1000 zł can be split 50/50, with a 246 zł arrangement fee. Profil zaufany and PESEL — 246 zł per person each.
How to pay less
Two ways to lower the cost: come with someone, or bring clients yourself.
If you file at the same time as a coursemate, friend or spouse.

What we do: We calculate the amount for your case: living costs plus a return ticket. The figure depends on your citizenship, and it is easy to get wrong.
“I have an employment contract, isn’t that enough?”
What we do: On student grounds a contract does not replace a bank statement. We tell you plainly what is needed, before you collect the wrong set.
“I’ve graduated and my card is running out. What now?”
What we do: There are separate grounds for graduates — a one-year card for finding work. We file on those while your current document is still valid.
“I study at a policealna school and I’m told it doesn’t count”
What we do: It does count. Szkoła policealna is the same kind of grounds as a university. We assemble the set to its requirements.
“I filed myself, the case is stuck and my course is running”
What we do: We check the application at the office, close the braki and file an acceleration request and ponaglenia. We step in at any stage.

What you need to collect
The list from our working procedure. We send the same one to the client before filing, with the dates by which each document must be in hand.
- Zaświadczenie confirming admission to or continuation of studies
- Zaświadczenie stating the tuition for the current academic year and the next semester
- Dowód uiszczenia opłaty for tuition, showing the payment date
- Wydruk karty okresowych osiągnięć studenta — your grades
An employment contract does not replace a bank statement. You need a statement showing an amount that covers living costs and a return ticket.
- Two photos, 3.5 × 4.5 cm
- Your passport plus a photocopy of the data page and every page with stamps and visas
- Your previous residence card with a photocopy, if you had one
- The original rental agreement and a photocopy
- Insurance and a photocopy
- A Polish bank statement showing your funds, and a photocopy
- Proof of payment of the state fee — by card or bank transfer
How much you need in your account
The amount is your living costs plus the cost of a return ticket. The ticket is calculated by citizenship, and this is where students most often get it wrong.
This is only the ticket part. We calculate the full amount including living costs for your case during the review, before you go to the bank for a statement.
Why students get turned away
All six can be fixed, but fixing them costs months: the application is paused and goes back to the end of the queue.
With student status you can work without a permit
This is one of the main reasons students apply for the card at all.

Frequently asked questions
How much do I need in my account?
The amount is your living costs plus the cost of a return ticket. The ticket is counted as 200 zł for citizens of countries bordering Poland, 500 zł for EU citizens from non-bordering countries and 2500 zł for everyone else. We calculate the exact amount for your case during the review — this is one of the two points people are most often turned away on.
Can I show an employment contract instead of a bank statement?
No. On student grounds a contract does not replace the statement. You need a Polish bank statement showing the balance.
When should I order the certificates from the dean’s office?
So that on the fingerprint day none of them is more than a month old. Get them too early and you’ll have to get them again. We give you the exact date to go to the dean’s office.
Do I need a work permit?
With student status at a university no permit is needed. It is not needed either for holders of a Polish university degree.
Does a policealna school count as grounds?
Yes. Szkoła policealna is full grounds for a residence card, just like a university. The document set differs in details, and we assemble it to the requirements of your particular school.
I’ve finished my studies, what now?
There are separate grounds for graduates of Polish universities — a one-year card for finding work. You have to file while your current document is still valid.
How long does a decision take?
We promise our own timing: preparing and filing takes days. No one promises the office’s timing. The fingerprint appointment arrives about six months after filing, official consideration after that is three months, and in practice longer. That is why we file an acceleration request and three ponaglenia on schedule.

Yes. Payment is split into two parts, the second taken at fingerprinting. A 50/50 instalment plan on amounts from 1000 zł is available until fingerprinting, with a 246 zł arrangement fee.
